Applicant Index Report
Unite Students’ annual Applicant Index surveys UK university applicants, and compares the findings year-on-year.
Launched in 2022 in partnership with HEPI, the Index is the only research to systematically track university applicants’ attitudes each year, offering UK universities an indicator of what to expect when students arrive in the autumn.

Press release
Unite Students' 2025 Applicant Index finds that 2025/26 starters are arriving at university ready to move away from home and find their independence as they balance studying, socialising and work.

Creating a positive impact for students
Whether it's supporting them to be a part of the community through our social events, providing work opportunities through our Resident Ambassador programme or having 24/7 support in place as they adapt to independent living, we're ready to welcome this year's new students.

Properties ready for this year's cohort
This year's cohort wants to work and play. Nottingham's Morriss House building, opened in 2023, features a record amount of study space as well as indoor and outdoor spaces which help residents to build community.
