Improving the transition to Higher Education

This report explores how universities, schools and policymakers can improve students’ transition from school to university.

Improving the transition to Higher Education

What challenges face a post-Covid generation of students, and how does this impact on their ability to adjust to independent living and university life?

Written in collaboration with the Higher Education Student Support Champion Professor Edward Peck, this new report looks to answer these questions – and what we as a sector can do about it.

It’s important that universities know about the measures put in place for students [with significant mental health issues]. There’s really tight wraparound care in schools and sixth forms. University students are adults, but the fact is that many of them are going to need some form of formalised support.
