Unite Students wins Student Accommodation Operator of the Year at the 2015 RESI awards – 15 May 2015
Unite Students, the UK’s leading developer and manager of student accommodation, is pleased to announce that it has been awarded ‘Student Accommodation Operator of the Year’ at this year’s national RESI Awards.
The RESI awards are the Oscars of the residential property world, run by Property Week magazine, and bring together the great and good from the world of property. The competition was steeper than previous years, with eight companies, including CRM, The Student Housing Company, and Vita Student, making the shortlist for the student accommodation award.
The award recognises Unite’s strong financial performance and employee and student satisfaction scores during 2014, which build on the Group’s upward trajectory over recent years.
2014 also marked the year that Unite Students launched its core business purpose, ‘Home for Success’. A £40 million rebrand and investment programme into four key areas of the business: technology, service, people and the physical space within all properties, helping to reinforce Unite’s position as the most trusted brand in the sector.
The award was announced at the RESI Awards held at Grosvenor House, London on 13th May 2015.
Richard Smith, Unite Students Managing Director of Operations, which is headquartered in Bristol, commented:
“2014 was one of the most significant years in Unite Students’ 24 year history and I am delighted that we have won this award which is testament to the hard work of all my colleagues.
“Through our knowledge and experience of working with students, we know that where you live or work can have a huge impact on your personal success. Looking to the future, we will continue to keep students at the heart of what we do and provide a Home for Success to all who choose to live with us.”
