The Unite Foundation

Enabling talented young people to access a university education
Unite Students launched the Unite Foundation in 2012 and has committed £8.5 million to its work.
The Foundation’s scholarship scheme provides a scholarship of free, year round student accommodation (for three years) to young people in the UK who aspire to a degree – but face the most challenging circumstances. The majority of our scholars do not have the support of a family. Many have been in local authority care, or living with friends or extended family, and some have been homeless before starting university.
Despite these very difficult circumstances, our scholars have qualified for university and secured a place. We celebrate their achievements and are investing in their future success.
“The Unite Foundation… gave me a sense of hope that I had lost several years back.”
University Partners
We work with 29 university partners, across the UK to provide the scholarships to support the success of our scholars, helping them to achieve a successful outcome.
